We are Claire, EB, and Izzy (of Warwick Terriers.) Three people, three generations, and one shared vision. Claire is Beatryx, EB is Trillium, and together we are Beatryx Trillium.
How the three of us came together is a perfect example of the quiet magic of dog world. Claire lives in Michigan, while EB and Izzy are based in Wisconsin. Claire and EB first met in the dead of winter at a show in Illinois, but it was not until the following spring, sitting ringside together at the Borzoi National Specialty in Virginia Beach, that everything truly clicked. As the conversations unfolded, we realized we shared not only a background in rescue Greyhounds and Lurchers, but also remarkably similar values, goals, and perspectives on the Borzoi breed.
Still relatively new and green in the world of conformation and performance at the time, we found deep joy in mentorship conversations with longtime Borzoi breeders and respected AKC judges. Those early discussions were exhilarating, and what began as camaraderie quickly grew into a genuine friendship and eventually a sisterhood rooted in shared curiosity, humility, and love for the breed.
Later that same year, EB met Izzy at a show. Izzy, then a Junior Handler, was searching for the right Juniors dog, a partner to grow, learn, and compete with. Mylo fit the bill perfectly. Together, Izzy and Mylo began a journey that has already led to remarkable accomplishments, with many more still ahead.
Between the three of us, we span three generations, Gen X, Millennial, and Gen Z. We bring different life experiences, perspectives, and strengths to our program, creating a rich environment for learning, growth, and thoughtful decision making both inside and outside the ring.
We are incredibly fortunate to have begun our breeding program with dogs of exceptional quality, drawn from historically important pedigrees and influential programs. We are deeply grateful to the breeders who entrusted us with their dogs and encouraged us to carry their legacies forward, including Patti and Chris Neale of Sylvan, Kay Casella of Konza, Cherie Hunchak of Elance, Barb Ewing of Kirov, Erica Wolf of Prairie View, Jamie Bobrowski of Starswift, and Justine Spiers and Stuart McGraw of Justart. Their mentorship, generosity, and faith in us mean more than words can express.
Our love for the Borzoi runs deep. We are committed to producing purpose bred Borzoi of correct type, with sound and stable temperaments, excellent health, and enduring elegance. All of our breeding dogs complete full OFA health testing, and every dog in our care is given the opportunity to participate in breed specific sports, including lure coursing, allowing them to express their natural instincts and athleticism.
